This is a training aid and NOT an aircraft.

When the RAAF originally received Black Hawks, a spare cabin section was transported to Australia as deck cargo on a ship. However, it was declared unserviceable on arrival due to exposure to sea water.
The cabin section was displayed in the Oakey Museum.
I
t was later decided that it could be better used so it has been gradually built up into an impressive and functional training aid.
Several modifications have been made to allow access to areas usually inaccessible.
The aid is a credit to all who have built it up over the years.

Withdrawal from service
The Black Hawks' withdrawal from service commenced in January 2014 and was scheduled to be completed by June 2018
As of early December 2018 some remain in service with 6th Aviation Regiment based at Holsworthy, NSW.
Others are held in storage at Oakey, Qld.
As information is released regarding specific airframes we will add to the above listing.
Regular Black Hawk operations will cease at Oakey on the 30th of June 2018.
(This will be when MRH-90  will ‘finally’ be reliable enough to take over the CRH role.)

Black Hawk should be fully retired by the end of 2022.
